Licensure Passing Rates (>70%)
– Licensure passing rates applies to the Master of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine program and are provided by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. The success criteria is score in all modules at over 70% based on criteria by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Retention Rates (>50%)
– Retention rates are calculated each semester as total number of students that entered 1 full academic year ago and then evaluating how many of those students are still enrolled currently. The success criteria is over 65% based on the criteria set by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Due to the size of the cohorts, the numbers may sometimes be skewed. – Graduation rates is calculated by looking at the number of students that enrolled in the maximum allowed years ago+ transfer in – transfer out and then determining how many graduated. For the Master of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine looks at how many students entered 8 years ago.
For the Master of Integrative Wellness Management and Master of Integrative Healthcare Leadership, the number of years used is 4 years (12 semesters including summer). Due to the size of the cohorts, the numbers may sometimes be skewed.

Graduate Placement Rate (>70%)
– The success criteria is over 70%. Job placement is calculated as number of graduates practicing in the field. To obtain graduate information, the first action is to look individuals up on the internet for the graduates’ clinic website since most of the graduates have their own private practice. Second, the college looks up graduates at the Texas Board of Acupuncture Examiners and Texas Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Finally, the college surveys the students either verbally or via email. For the wellness programs, it is done by surveying the graduates either verbally or via email.
